I inherited the Ricoh from my father in 1990. By that time the camera was about 15 years old and had traveled through much of the United States and numerous countries in Europe. It was tired. While other students brought in their shiny, new, do-everything-for-you cameras to photography class, I learned the true definition of manual.

I ruined a lot of film and photo paper, but I had fun doing it so I can’t say I regret any of it.

The other two cameras have never worked for me, but I couldn’t pass up owning a Brownie Hawkeye.

Yes, yes. I already know I’m a pack rat. You don’t have to tell me.

Actually, I really like Ricoh. I use to carry two in my camera bag, along with tons of lenses. And at least for the last 10, 15 years, they’ve used the same bionet as Pentax. *hint* *hint*
