Round Robin

Eric: Would you marry me if I asked you?

Irene: Are you asking?

Eric: I asked you first. Would you?

Irene: I don’t know. It would depend on if you’re really asking or not.

Eric: What difference does it make?

Irene: If you’re not really asking then I would probably say yes.

Eric: And if I were?

Irene: I don’t know. Are you?

Eric: I don’t know.

Irene: Although, you know, marrying you would have its advantages.

Eric: Oh yeah?

Irene: Definitely. For one, I"d move up in the alphabet. Bean comes before Spellman.

Eric: True. And the other advantages?

Irene: Uhm…

Eric: Thanks.

Irene: No wait. Uhm - Oh! You’re tall.

Eric: Yes.

Irene: I wouldn’t have to ask tall strangers to get things down for me when I’m in the grocery store.

Eric: But I’m not always going to be with you when you go to the store.

Irene: You’re not? How come? Where are you gonna be? Don’t even think I"m always going to be doing the grocery shopping!

Eric: Does that mean you would marry me if I asked?

Irene: Are you asking?

Eric: I don’t know.
