Book: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Mark Haddon
Start Date: 10/02
End Date: 10/03

Reading this for the book club. I haven’t started the book yet, but I’m very excited about the book club. Sometimes I don’t know which I like more: reading or talking about books. It’s such a sad thing to read a great book and have no one to discuss it with. I tried starting a book club several years ago but after a few months, even though people swore they loved to read, the thing just fell apart. That was a disappointment, but it was probably for the best. Most of the sessions tended to turn into bitch sessions about work so that was no fun.

I’m hoping that things will fare better with the online bookclub. It’s hard to imagine how things could be worse. smile

As one of the people who started the book club, I hope its successful too!  Enjoy the book!  I really look forward to seeing what everyone has to say about it.

The book club seems to have fizzled out, hmm?  Too bad.  My friend Jenn and I started our own book club - our first book was Life of Pi.  Fantastic book, by the way.  We only have 3 locals and 2 long-distance, but it’s still fun to read a book and then have someone to talk about it with.

BTW, I liked this book, but was a little disappointed.  I think my expectations were too high.
